Floral Design Class

Basic Design for Mothers Day
Bring home a beautiful floral display for Mom and learn some basic floral design steps to take with you for life.
Adrienn is an award winning florist (most recently the Young Designer of the Year for Interflora)
She’ll be teaching you a few different design styles then guide you in making a Cup-of-Flowers to take home with you for yourself or a gift for Mom.
We will provide everything you need. You will be allocated the flowers and vessel and use of the house tools.

Basic Veg Gardening
4 week course
Starts Wednesday, March 23rd (then every Wed for three weeks)
This course is taught by Christine Maxwell. A Botanic Gardens trained Horticultist for over twenty years. Christine will guide you through the tricky world of growing a successful vegetable patch in your own garden. Bring your questions and yourself. Everything’s provided.

Valentines Day
As Valentines Day fast approaches my thoughts turn to all things roses. But even though a traditional bouquet of red roses is a timeless expression of true love it is by no means the only way through flowers to show it. One of my Valentines designs, A fresh candle center piece is made with beautiful orchids, roses and features a ruby red slow burning candle, from my Broste candle range all in a heart shaped container. A very romantic and different Valentines Day gift. In store at Flowers By Lynda all this week.

Its snowing in Greystones and out front of Flowers by Lynda is beautifully Christmasy! The Window is decorated with beautiful Christmas goodies and the streets are white with snow. Greystones is just magic in the snow.
Three months have gone by Quickly and everyday I am a little more delighted I chose to open my Flower shop in Greystones, Counbty Wicklow.
Everyone in Greystones has been so supportive and those living abroad from Greystones have quickly found Flowers by Lynda online www.flowersbylynda.ie to place their orders to local friends and family.
We already have great loyal customers who give us good feedback on how we can make our flower shop more community based as few flower shops are. So Flowers by Lynda has responded with community based activities like Gardening, Felt-making and Christmas Wreath making workshops that have been a tremendous succss.
Now we are planning for 2011 with great ideas like a Saturday potting hour for children from Springtime to encourage the children of Greystones, Delgany, Bray, Kilpedder, Newtown Mt. Kennedy, Kilmaq, Kilcoole and surrounding areas to help in the garden. I will be teaching DIY for brides and many many more great ideas to come.
